Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church (SGPC) will hold its Operation Christmas Child Packing Party November 15. The event will begin at 6:15 pm in the SGPC Light House auditorium.

Former OCC Shoebox recipient Alex Nsengimana will speak to volunteers on about how the international ministry affected his life. Originally from Rwanda, Alex received a shoebox from this Samaritan’s Purse ministry when he was a child. At that point, the shoebox sowed seeds of hope and love that he needed after experiencing years of his nation’s tribal unrest and genocide. He now serves full time as the National Spokesperson for Operation Christmas Child.

After Nsengimana speaks volunteers will begin packing Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes at about 6:30 pm. The church has have a goal of packing and sending a total of 500 shoeboxes this year. Once packed, these shoeboxes will be sent to the Samaritan’s Purse headquarters in Charlotte, NC to be checked, and then they will be shipped to locations throughout the world to children in need.
