It’s a 3-way race for the top of the South Carolina American Legion League III standings.
Both Lexington Post 7 and West Columbia Post 79 are currently chasing Richland Post 215 for the top spot. Lexington dropped 2-3 to Richland early in the season, while West Columbia will close the regular season with a 3-game series against Post 215 starting Monday.

Last week saw Post 7 hand West Columbia its first loss of the season. In Game One, Matthew Bishop went 3-3 with two RBI and pitcher Grant Kissner struck out five batters in a 7-3 victory for West Columbia.
Two nights later, Lexington held a 6-1 lead over West Columbia before the game was stopped due to lightning in the Bottom 4th inning. The game is expected to be completed at a later date.
The following night, Jack Rivers struck out four and allowed three hits in a 3-0 win by Lexington.
Post 7 scored twice in the second inning following two infield errors, and Logan Blight of Lexington homered in the sixth inning.
