Columbia, SC – A collision occurred at the intersection of I-26 and the Piney Grove Rd. exit on Tuesday morning, causing significant traffic disruptions.
The incident involved a semi-truck parked on the shoulder of the interstate when a pickup truck collided with it. The crash led to the blockage of the exit and several lanes of I-26 for an extended period.
Despite the severity of the collision, the driver of the pickup truck sustained only minor injuries, according to reports.
Authorities worked to clear the scene and restore traffic flow. The Irmo Fire District provided assistance and a photo of the incident.
