Lexington-Richland School District Five was presented the South Carolina Public Employee Benefits Authority (PEBA) Partners Award for Public School Districts at the recent Benefits at Work Conference held at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center August 26-28.
PEBA Partners is an annual award program that honors employers that demonstrate a dedication to promoting a physically, emotionally and financially healthier workplace. PEBA strives to recognize employers who are setting the bar for workplace well-being programs across the state.
“Lexington-Richland School District Five, like so many of our employer groups, has invested time and effort in improving the well-being of their employees,” said Laura Smoak, PEBA’s Analytics & Health Initiatives Director. “We are excited to hear about all of the ways the school district is keeping employees moving, and we are pleased that the district is taking advantage of programs PEBA offers. Congratulations on a well-deserved award.”
School District Five Benefits Specialist Caren Carmichael said, “This award goes to each of our schools and our employees that have created and participated in the various health and exercise programs, taken advantage of the worksite screenings and flu shots, participated in the retirement seminars and investment opportunities, and used the PEBA Health and Wellness programs to better their lifestyles.”
This year’s October Enrollment theme is “Rock Enroll 2019” which goes hand-in-hand with the district’s desire to take care of our Rock Stars and their families, by making healthy happy: physically, financially, emotionally and socially.
