Ken Loveless files for District Five School Board comeback

Longtime District Five booster Ken Loveless has officially filed for Lexington-Richland Five School Board on November 5th. A candidate for one of the Lexington County seats on the board, Loveless feels a strong level of confidence in the upcoming election:

“I have been getting out and laying the groundwork for this campaign and the citizens are excited!” Loveless continued “people are looking for school board members who champion transparency and are problem-solvers.”

Loveless is well-known for his time and philanthropy towards District Five causes including the District Five Foundation and SkillsUSA. He has been a leader in Irmo and Chapin on workforce development for students.

“It is important that we prepare our students for college and have the teachers ready to prepare them,” said Loveless. “But one size does not fit all, and we need to prepare students for the workforce in that same manner with great teachers. I have led on that front, including working on getting these students set up with jobs. Many parents and students have appreciated that.”
