The Lexington girls’ tennis team showcased their talent by going 4-0 to win the “Gold Bracket” at the third annual Kathryn Kleckley Memorial Girls High School Preseason Invitational Tennis Tournament. Among their victories was a close 4-3 win over River Bluff in the semifinals. The Lady Gators secured third place with a 6-0 victory over Gray Collegiate.
Sponsored by the Lexington Area Tennis Association and the Kleckley family, the 3-day tournament took place this past weekend at the Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center. Proceeds from the event were donated to a scholarship fund awarded to a high school girl who will play tennis at the college or club level.
