The county’s best volleyball rivalry resumed Wednesday at Lexington High School.
The Lady Wildcats and River Bluff met in the first of two Region 4-5A matchups. As part of Brest Awareness Months, the two teams also wore pink jerseys.
Lexington came out on top in three closely played-sets. The Lady Wildcats rallied from a 4-0 deficit to win set 1 25-25. They then took the next two sets by a 25-21 score to improve to 4-0 in the region.
The two teams will close out the regular season each other on Oct. 17 in The Swamp.
