Columbia, S.C. — Capital City/Lake Murray Country (CCLMC) is excited to announce the first member of the esteemed judging panel for the Southeastern BBQ Showdown (SEBBQSD). Mark Henry, famously known as “The World’s Strongest Man,” will bring his expertise and charisma as a judge at the inaugural event on June 14-15 at Segra Park. Standing at an imposing 6 feet 4 inches and boasting a storied wrestling career, Mark Henry’s involvement marks an electrifying milestone for the SEBBQSD.
Hailing from Silsbee, Texas, Mark Henry is a force to be reckoned with. In 1996, he secured a gold medal at the Summer Olympics for weightlifting, followed by his WWE debut later that year. Since then, he has dominated the wrestling scene with his impressive strength and athleticism. Beyond his wrestling prowess, Mark is also a stand-up comedian, captivating audiences with his quick wit and humor. Additionally, he is passionate about fitness and healthy living, spearheading initiatives like his Strong Kids program to inspire the next generation to lead active lifestyles.
