Team Been Lure’d, pictured above, clinched the Team of the Year Awards. They will be recognized during the annual MSC banquet Jan. 10 at the Lake Murray Sailing Club.
Midlands Striper Club held its monthly Lake Murray tournament out of Acapulco on Dec. 20, 2025.
A total of 13 teams participated in the event with 18 striped bass brought to the scales weighing a total of 132.37 pounds with a 7.35-pound average.
There were nine teams that brought a full two fish creel to the scales.
Finishing in second place with a total weight of 18.19 pounds was Team Reel Guys captained by Joby Wetzel along with Bruce Brown. Team Reel Guys also won the Team Wildman Big Fish award sponsored by The Nichols Store with a 10.53-pound Striper.
Finishing in third place with a total weight of 15.26 pounds was Team Fish Whistle captained by Mitch Craps along with Tim Schumpert.
