The Heritage at Lowman will offer an afternoon of music this Sunday, November 3.
The Newberry College Choir groups Newberry College Singers, and Madrigals will be performing.
The NC Singers, a group of 50 singers of various disciplines, will present the program from their fall tour. NC Singers has a tradition of touring in the region, reaching back over fifty years. The concert will also include Madrigals, a select 20-voice choir.
Both choirs are led by Dr. Chris Sheppard, Director of Choral Activities. Sheppard, is in his fifth year at Newberry. Having led festival choirs in various states, prepared opera choruses, and held church music positions, he also has performed as a soloist in recitals, operas, and in musical theater.
All Sunday at Lowman Concerts are held at 3 pm Sunday afternoons in the New Life Chapel located in the Wellness Center on the Heritage at Lowman campus and will be followed by a reception in the adjacent Hoefler Gallery. The concerts are free and open to the public.
