Parent arrested at River Bluff

A River Bluff High School parent has been arrested for disturbing the school on September 18.

Officers were alerted to a suspicious person in the front lobby of the school. They discovered Danielle Cato, age 34, of Lexington, had bypassed the security measures in the front office and entered the library, then began to act aggressively toward a school employee, yelling, cursing, and threatening to assault the employee. The behavior caused the school to go into a secure status and students were evacuated from the common area as a precautionary measure. Cato followed the victim to the front lobby when School Resource Officers were notified.

Cato was arrested in connection with the incident. She was charged with Disturbing Schools and Assault and Battery, 3rd degree.
