Richland First Steps Joins USDA Food Program

Richland First Steps has joined the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) to provide free meal benefits for children in families enrolled in Family Independence (FI) assistance units or receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. The initiative ensures access to nutritious meals that support children’s growth and development.

Richland First Steps operates two free Early Head Start/childcare centers:

  • Virginia Wingard Site: 1500 Broad River Road
  • Ridgewood Site: 5324 Ridgeway Street
