The team secured its second consecutive championship at the State Scholastic Chess Championship, held this past Saturday at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

In addition to the team victory, several students earned individual recognition for their outstanding performances during the season, highlighted by strong finishes across multiple competitions and continued excellence at the state level.
The championship caps off a dominant season for River Bluff, which consistently performed at a high level in the Palmetto Scholastic Chess League and now stands as a repeat state champion.
