SCDOT to Close I-20 Ramp to I-26 for Weekend Construction

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has announced the temporary closure of the I-20 westbound ramp (Exit 64B) leading to I-26 westbound. The closure will begin at 11 p.m. on Friday, August 16, and the ramp is expected to reopen by 5 a.m. on Monday, August 19. This closure is part of Phase 2 of the ongoing Carolina Crossroads Project.

During the closure, a detour will be in place. Drivers traveling on I-20 westbound who need to access I-26 westbound via Exit 64B will be directed to continue on I-20 westbound and take Exit 64A onto I-26 eastbound. From there, they can take Exit 107B onto I-20 eastbound and then use Exit 64B to reach I-26 westbound. Detour directions will be displayed on message board signs along the route.
