Sixth-Annual Cottontown Art Crawl Scheduled for March 9

The highly anticipated sixth-annual Cottontown Art Crawl is set to take place on March 9 from 10 am to 4 pm in the historic downtown Columbia neighborhood. The event promises a vibrant showcase of local and regional artists, bringing creativity and entertainment to porches, streets, and lawns.

  • Featured Artists: Approximately 200 artists showcasing and selling original works
  • Event Highlights:
    • Fine art and handmade goods
    • Food trucks and local restaurants
    • Live music with three bands on the main stage
    • Bike valet and bike share station
    • Historic walking tour of the neighborhood
    • Children’s activities and a new student art exhibition

The event, recognized for its community engagement and celebration of the arts, has seen significant growth since its inception in 2019. In 2023, it received the “Best Festival in Columbia” award from local voters.

Organizer Julie Seel expressed excitement about supporting the Columbia arts scene, stating, “We truly have something for every level of art enthusiast, with emerging, accomplished, and award-winning juried artists participating.”

The Cottontown Art Crawl is an entirely outdoor event spanning several city blocks. It remains free and open to the public. In case of inclement weather, a rain date is scheduled for March 10, from noon to 5 pm.
