Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Joe Wilson released the following statement on following Fort Jackson’s expansion announcement:
“I am grateful for the relocation of the Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Advanced Individual Training Courses to Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C., which has been recognized as one the ‘Most Military Friendly Communities in America.’
“This addition will greatly benefit the local economy, providing nearly $5 million in the initial establishment and $3.5 million annually. I am also thankful for the leadership of Commanding General Milford Beagle and for the commitment of our service men and women training at Fort Jackson.”
