An Irmo High School International School for the Arts graduate was recently crowned Miss Teen North America.

Lily Richter was named Miss Teen North America in June. She was chosen to compete in the pageant after being named Miss Teen South Carolina North America in January.

“I feel so blessed to have this role and I want to thank all of my friends and family for all of their love and support.”

“I am so excited for this upcoming year and I cannot wait for everyone to get to know me more,” Richter said. “I feel so blessed to have this role and I want to thank all of my friends and family for all of their love and support.”

Richter graduated in May from Irmo High School where she was an International Baccalaureate Honor Roll student, Miss Yellow Jacket 2018, a member of Mock Trial, the varsity swim team, and student council.

Richter entered her first pageant through the Miss Yellow Jacket program at the end of her Junior year as a way to try something new, be more involved at the school and impact the community.

“It was such an honor serving as Miss Yellow Jacket last year and I had so much fun serving the Irmo community,” said Richter. “I was fortunate to give back to the school that has done so much for me, and that meant the world to me.”

Richter will attend Wofford University and studying International Business and French.

“Lily is an absolute rock star. Her intellect, poise, and generosity make her so very special to so many people. I look forward to following her continued accomplishments,” said Dr. Robin Hardy, principal of Irmo High School.
