Got books? The Friends of the Irmo Branch Library, 6251 St. Andrews Road, will accept donations of used books and media this Saturday, August 12, from 9 am-noon.
Books may be dropped off curbside at the side entrance to the library, where Friends volunteers will assist in unloading. Or you may bring books to the library’s Mungo Room.
The Friends will also have a Donation Day on August 24, from 2 – 5 pm.
The library does not accept VHS tapes, magazines/journals, encyclopedias, old textbooks, travel books more than 3 years old, Readers Digest condensed books, or moldy, damaged or ripped books.
Do not drop off donations at the library any time other than the designated donation days and times.
Donations of books and media supply both the Friends Book Store inside the library and the twice-yearly Friends Book Sale.
A non-profit, volunteer organization, the Friends support, promote and help fund the Irmo Branch Library. For more information email the Friends at [email protected].
