The South Carolina State Museum will host Celebración de la Herencia Hispana to celebrate Hispanic heritage this Sunday, September 15 from noon – 5 pm.
The event provides an opportunity for the community to come together to celebrate and recognize the Hispanic culture in South Carolina. There will be live music and dance performances, authentic food for purchase, cultural displays, kids activities and more.
Featuring:
- Live music from Latin Caravan
- Dance demonstrations from Sincopao and Latin Heritage.
- A special fashion show by the South Carolina Latina Project showcasing beautiful traditional Latin American dresses, each with its own historic or cultural reference
- Cultural displays
- Kids Activities, including a chance to conquer the “unbreakable piñata.”
- Plus, authentic Latin American food from Los Bellos Portales will be available for purchase.
All Celebración de la Herencia Hispana performances and activities are free.
