Summer Food Service Program begins June 10

IRMO – Lexington-Richland School District Five is participating in the Summer Food Service Program again this year.

The program will begin on June 10 and end on August 1. Meals will not be offered during the week of July 1, 2019. All children ages 2-18 are eligible for the service. School District Five served over 51,000 meals last summer.

“We have had good participation with our Summer Food Service Program over the years,” said Todd Bedenbaugh, School District Five’s director of student nutrition. “Some families struggle to provide balanced meals to their children in the summer months, and our program helps lighten that burden.
