Early action in the new year saw Lake Murray wrestling teams fare well in improving their state rankings.
The Swansea boys went 4-0 at the Mutiny on the Island Duals. The Tigers posted wins over Porter Gaud, Northwood Academy, Colleton County and Stall.
At the West Oak Invitational, Lexington finished in sixth place. John Marcum won at 165 pounds and Carson Kilcrease placed first at 190 pounds.
At the Bearcat Invitational in Rock Hill, the River Bluff girls placed second behind Rock Hill. Amy Robinson took first place at 145 pounds and Malyn Gentry finished third at 100 pounds.
