Community Invited to Join Seventh Annual Bountiful Harvest Event
Free Holiday Food Box Give-Away Plus Community Resource Fair and Free Meal
Serve and Connect and the Lexington Police Department invite you to the seventh annual Bountiful Harvest that will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Icehouse Amphitheater in downtown Lexington. At the event, community members will have the opportunity to receive a free holiday food box as part of Serve & Connect’s Greg’s Groceries program while supplies last, attend the Community Resource Fair, and enjoy a catered meal.
Thanks to partnerships and support from Walmart and State Farm, groceries for the 200 food
boxes have been provided along with frozen chickens to complete a holiday meal.
During the Community Resource Fair, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with various local resources, including the Courage Center, Sistercare, Pathways to Healing, Uplift
Lexington County, Midlands Fatherhood Coalition, and more. A free catered meal from Hudson’s Smokehouse BBQ will also be provided. This event is rain or shine.
Lexington Police Department hosted the first Bountiful Harvest event in 2017. Since then, the
event has offered resources to community members during the holiday season. It has also
expanded to other communities, with events hosted in Columbia and Florence over the years.
Over the years, Lexington has served over 3,200 individuals through their Bountiful Harvest
events, reaching over 30 zip codes.
Bountiful Harvest is made possible thanks to a generous support from Walmart, State Farm and Dominion Energy. This year’s event is hosted in partnership with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, West Columbia Police Department, and the Cayce Police Department.
