The Lexington County Blowfish have been hosting the Shamrock Parade for nearly a decade, contributing to the celebration of St. Patrick’s Day in the Lake Murray area. The event has become a tradition, featuring the Connick School of Irish Dancers, various musical bands, floats, and mascots. The parade typically brings the spirit of Irish heritage to downtown Lexington, with a procession down Main Street.

This year’s Shamrock Parade is scheduled for March 9 at 2 p.m. The lineup includes performers like the 282nd Army Band from Fort Jackson, with Maj. Gen. Jason E. Kelly serving as the Grand Marshal. The parade entries will be announced in front of O’Hara’s Public House on Main Street in Downtown Lexington, with emcee Jonathan Rush, the 2021 Shamrock Parade Grand Marshal.
