Dining on the Dam to Close Lake Murray Dam, Parks Sunday

LEXINGTON, S.C. — Dining on the Dam returns Sunday, March 29 from 5–9 p.m., bringing hundreds of guests to the Lake Murray Dam for an evening of dining, live entertainment, and sunset views.

“The Chamber is excited to host our annual Dining on the Dam event,” said Angelle LaBorde, president and CEO of the Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center. “Dining on the Dam offers a unique atmosphere for people to mix and mingle while enjoying an unforgettable evening.”

Road and Park Closures

The top portion of the dam, including the pedestrian walkway, will be closed to all traffic beginning at 6 a.m. Sunday and will reopen after midnight. Traffic will be rerouted to the lower level, with the walkway reopening Monday morning, March 30.

Boaters should note the Dominion Energy public park on the Irmo side will close from 9 p.m. Saturday, March 28 until 6 a.m. Monday, March 30.

Alternative boat launches include:

  • Shull Island Boat Ramp
  • Hilton Boat Ramp

Parking and Shuttles

Event parking will be available at Dominion Energy public parks on both sides of the dam, as well as at:

  • Arise Church
  • Wingard’s Market
  • Pilgrim Lutheran Church

Parking lots open at 4:15 p.m., with shuttle service beginning at 4:45 p.m.
