CHAPIN, S.C. – The Lexington High School girls golf team captured the Region 4-5A championship Tuesday at Timberlake Country Club.
The Lady Wildcats posted a team score of 310, edging out rival River Bluff by two strokes. Minghe Huang of River Bluff earned top medalist honors, while Taryn Smoak, Lyles Heritage, Claire Kim, and Dailie Gibson were all named to the All-Region team.
The Class 5A Division I Upper State Qualifier will be held Oct. 20 at Edgewater Golf Club in Lancaster.
