Dreher Island State Park will be the site of the 6th annual Paddle Bender event this Saturday, June 1, and local sculptor has donated two special prizes.
The event is a fundraiser for wildlife rehabilitation with PAWS Animal Wildlife Sanctuary the recipient this year. Some of the permanent wildlife patients which cannot be released back into the wild attend the event and serve as education animals.
Former and returning participant, Columbia sculptor Jeremy Butler has donated two custom creations to serve as first prize for the top male and female winners.
