Little Mountain, SC – The town of Little Mountain just got a little sharper! Malcom’s Barbershop, a new addition to Main Street, officially opened its doors on March 1, 2025, marking the occasion with a celebratory ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Gathering to commemorate the event were several community members and local officials, including Lorelei Johnson, Mayor Jayroe, Hubert Townley, Kathryn Bates, Michelle Malcom (holding the scissors), Brittany Barr, and Jillian Long. The barbershop, located at 1587 A Main Street, sits conveniently across from the Little Mountain Antique Mall & Café, offering residents and visitors a fresh spot for top-notch haircuts and grooming services.
Owner Michelle Malcom envisions the shop as more than just a place for haircuts. “Malcom’s Barbershop is about more than looking your best—it’s a space to connect with the community, relax, and enjoy the experience,” Malcom shared.
The shop provides a variety of services, including classic gentleman’s cuts, precision fades, detailed beard sculpting, hot towel shaves, and even kids’ cuts. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments can also be scheduled by calling (803) 944-0094.
Malcom’s Barbershop is open six days a week, operating Wednesday through Monday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with Saturday hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The shop is closed on Tuesdays.
