LEXINGTON, S.C. — Whataburger fans have a new reason to celebrate! The popular fast-food chain officially opened its doors at 888 S. Lake Drive on February 6, 2025, and on March 6, the community gathered to mark the occasion with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Operating Partner Albert Ochoa, sporting a floral shirt, was joined by Chamber representatives and other local leaders to celebrate the opening. The event welcomed community members eager to get their hands on Whataburger’s signature 5 ½-inch burger, designed to be so big and delicious that customers can’t help but exclaim, “Whataburger!”

The excitement doesn’t stop here! Whataburger’s next location is set to open at 5440 Platt Springs Road on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 9 a.m. A special dedication ceremony will take place before the doors officially open, welcoming even more fans to enjoy the Texas-based chain’s famous menu.
