Reggaetronic Music Festival set for June 17

The 10th annual Reggaetronic Lake Murray Music Festival is returning to Spence Island for some fun in the sun on Lake Murray on June 17.

The lineup this year includes Artikal Sound System from South Florida, DJ Madds who recently played Lollapalooza in Chile and Brazil, Of Good Nature from Charlotte who has shared the stage with Michael Franti, Dirty Heads and others. Reggaetronic is partnering with Tidewater Boats, Monster Energy, Titos, Wilson Marine, and others to put on this completely free floating music festival to the public.

Reggaetronic Music Festival is South Carolina’s longest-running flotilla music festival. The festival is a celebration of modern reggae, funk, rock, and electronic music creating an environment of friendship, fellowship, and good vibes in the spirit of the Palmetto State. A portion of proceeds from the festival benefits the Jamil Temple Shriner’s contributions to the Children’s Hospital of South Carolina.

“Reggaetronic is the longest-running flotilla festival in South Carolina and we are proud to bring this 100 percent free floating festival back every year,” said Founder Ronnie Alexander. “Last year we had over 2,000 boats in attendance. We are happy to bring this completely free floating event back to our home state that highlights friendship, fellowship, and the start of summer.”

In 2022 the festival had more than 13,000 people (more than 2000 boats) in attendance from 31 different states to visit the jewel of South Carolina as supporting sponsor Capital City Lake Murray Country labels Lake Murray. Continuously Reggaetronic has a large monetary impact on the community. In 2022 the one-day festival had all rental properties in the area sold out and local businesses were up 17 percent over the flatline.
