Retirement Celebration for Dale Welch

Columbia, SC – The Richland County Administration Building was filled with fellowship and reminiscence on July 25 as staff gathered to celebrate the retirement of Director of Information Technology, Dale Welch. After more than 28 years of dedicated service to the county, Welch’s retirement marks the end of an era.

County Administrator Leonardo Brown presented Welch with a plaque, honoring his extensive contributions and unwavering commitment to the county. The celebration also featured heartfelt remarks from Councilman Paul Livingston (District 4) and other colleagues, reflecting on Welch’s impactful career and the legacy he leaves behind.
