From River Bluff High School Athletics
The River Bluff men’s golf team successfully defended its title on April 15 by winning the Lexington County Championship at Golden Hills Golf and Country Club.
The competition was comprised of the 12 high school golf teams from the five Lexington County school districts. The Gators had a team-score of 291 to win, followed by Lexington and Chapin (tied-310) and Gilbert (321).
River Bluff’s Howie Vroon was the medalist for the tournament shooting 69. A stroke behind for runner-up was Maddox McCamy.
The Gators’ second team finished in seventh place. Seventh-grader Prithvi Patel shot a 75, putting him in sixth place.
