Columbia, S.C. – Saluda Shoals Park will host the annual Sleigh Bell Trot and Stroll on November 25 and 26, offering families a fun and festive way to kick off the holiday season.
The Sleigh Bell Trot, a four-mile race, takes place on Saturday, November 25, starting at 7 p.m. Runners will follow a route lit with millions of dazzling holiday lights and animated displays. Early registration by November 10 costs $35 per person, increasing to $40 from November 15–24, and $45 on race day. Military discounts are available, and participants who register by November 14 are guaranteed a t-shirt. Awards will be given to top finishers in multiple age categories.
The Sleigh Bell Stroll happens on Sunday, November 26, from 6–8 p.m. This untimed family fun walk also winds through the festive light display. Registration is $7 per person and $2 for children aged 2 and under. Pre-registration is required by November 25.
Both events offer an exclusive preview of the Midlands’ largest drive-through light show, Holiday Lights on the River, which officially opens to the public on November 27. The light show will run nightly through December 31 from 6–10 p.m.
Participants for both events should park at Saluda Shoals Park’s east entrance at 6071 St. Andrews Road. Shuttle buses will be available for the Stroll. Note: For safety reasons, dogs are not allowed.
