The Cayce Police Department (CPD) is thrilled to announce the kickoff of Steel Paws 2024, a two-day celebration in support of local K9 programs. The festivities will take place at Steel Hands Brewing, located at 2350 Foreman Street in Cayce, on Friday and Saturday, May 10th and 11th.
The highlight of the event will be the introduction of the newest member of the CPD K9 team, showcasing the ongoing commitment to enhancing community safety through K9 programs. Steel Paws 2024 has garnered significant support from various community partners, including Jim Hudson Automotive, the Cayce Public Safety Foundation, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
Over the past two years, the Steel Paws Initiative has raised over $160,000 for K9 programs across South Carolina, contributing to vital resources such as K9 training, tactical vests, medical care, and handler trainings.

This exclusive event requires tickets and will feature a BBQ Smokeshow Feast, Local Vendors, On Patrol Live Deputies, a Special Auction, and Live Music. Highlights of the live auction include unique gifts and experiences such as a ride-along with On Patrol Live and breakfast with the Sheriffs.
