Team of the Year tightens up after November MSC Tournament

The Midlands Striper Club held its monthly Lake Murray tournament out of Acapulco on Nov. 16. 

A total of 19  teams participated and brought 34 striped bass to the scales weighing a total of 221.91 pounds with a 6.53-pound average. 

There were 16 team who brought a full two fish creel to the scales. 

Finishing in first place with a total weight of 16.68 was Team Been Lure’d In captained by John Temple, along with Chris Search.  Team Been Lure’d In also won the Team Wildman Big Fish Award sponsored by the Nichols Store with an 8.38-pound Striper.

Finishing in second place with a total weight of 16.00 pounds was Team Main Street Mafia captained by Aaron Hatfield, along with Brent Rikard.

Finishing in third place with a total weight of 15.12 pounds was Team Sea-n-Stripes captained by Chip Bragg, along with Ryan Eubanks.

The Lady Angler Award went to Liz Sineath from Team Stone Age. The Youth Angler went to Tucker Alveshire from Team Lunkerdog. Middle of the Pack with a total weight of 14.06 pounds was Team Gonna Fish.

The Smallest creel went to Team Carolina River Rats with a total weight of 3.59 pounds. Synergy Therapy Live Release Award went to Team Been Lure’d In and TWT went to Team Sea-n-Stripes.

Youth Angler went to Tucker Alveshire

Midlands Striper Club is a family oriented fishing organization dedicated to preserving our fisheries for generations to come.  A Turkey Derby is scheduled for Thursday at Acapulco Ramp in Batesburg-Leesville and the next tournament is set for Dec. 21.
