Chief Terrence Green would like to let the Town of Lexington community know that the annual Toys for Tots “Fill the MRAP” campaign begins today will began on Thursday, November 21, 2019, and will continue through Wednesday, December 9th.
Donation events scheduled at the Town of Lexington Municipal Complex, the Icehouse Amphitheater, Learning Express, Lexington Pavilion, Target and Walmart.
The Marines Toys for Tots Foundation is anticipating additional requests from families this Christmas due to those affected by layoffs and loss of employment due to the coronavirus pandemic.
As in years past, the objective for this year’s Toys for Tots campaign will be to fill the Lexington Police Department Emergency Services Team (E.S.T.) MRAP vehicle with toy donations. Unless needed elsewhere, the E.S.T. MRAP vehicle will be at each planned event listed.
The Toys for Tots “Fill the MRAP” schedule includes events on the following days and times:
Wednesday, December 2 Learning Express 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, December 3 Walmart 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Friday, December 4 Snowball Fest 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Monday, December 7 Lexington Pavilion 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday, December 8 Walmart 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, December 9 Target 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
All Cash and check donations made during the Toys for Tots “Fill the MRAP” events will be used for shopping sprees with Chief Terrence Green to purchase additional toys for the Marines Toys for Tots Foundation.
