A dominating 47-13 win at Swansea has the Lexington High School football team back in the ‘win’ column.
In snapping a 6-game losing streak dating back to last season, the Wildcats had six players score touchdowns. Shannon Lytes rushed for two scores and quarterback Easton Crocker had one passing and on the ground.
For the game, Crocker was 9-14 passing for 238 yards.
Rebels now 3-0, Gators win
Mid-Carolina remained undefeated under first-year head coach Jody Haltiwanger following the 42-0 win over Whitmire.
D’Angelo Ruff had two punt returns for touchdowns for the Rebels.
After getting shut out at home against Gray Collegiate, the Gators rebounded with a vengeance at Harry Parone Stadium.
In routing Spring Valley 45-7, River Bluff (2-1) posted 351 total yards. The 225 rushing yards surpassed the Vikings’ 146 total yards for the entire game.
Quarterback Brayden Moore was 6-10 passing for 118 yards and three touchdowns. Darius Carter, who had 115 yards on two kickoff returns, Ashton Boyd and Kingston Dunn each had a scoring reception.
Collin Carter led the Gators with 10 tackles. Linebacker Bubba Alexander had nine tackles, an interception and a 6-yard touchdown run.
