The Dutch Fork High School (DFHS) Envirothon Team and the Center for Advanced Technical Studies (The Center) FFA Team showcased their environmental knowledge at the first-ever SC Envirothon competition.
Envirothon is a program designed for high school students to deepen their understanding of the natural environment. Participants are tested on various topics including soils, water resources, forestry, wildlife, and current environmental issues.
DFHS’s team demonstrated their skills by securing 2nd place in the Wildlife station, 3rd place in the Soil station, and were awarded the prestigious Best New Team Award. Their outstanding performance earned them 3rd place overall, along with scholarships for each student and the team.
Meanwhile, The Center’s team showcased their expertise by clinching 2nd place in Forestry, further highlighting the talent and dedication of participating students.
