Chapin Garden Club travelled to Spartanburg for their May 25 meeting.
The group enjoyed a personalized tour of the Spartanburg Community College Arboretum located on the Giles Campus.
Dr. Kevin Parris guided the tour pointing out several horticulture gardens including an Asian Garden, the Cabeanna Gardena, the George and Sissy Stone International Peace Garden, the Sally Barre James Plant Zoo, and the Xeric Garden.
Parris is a Horticulture Instructor and the director of the arboretum at the college. Following the tour, garden club members had lunch at Olive Garden before returning to Chapin.
