The annual All-Star high school football games in Myrtle Beach and Spartanburg will feature a bevy of Lake Murray-based players and coaches.

Airport head coach Shane Fidler is the quarterbacks coach for the South team at the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl starting at noon at Doug Shaw Stadium. The roster includes Eagle linebacker Montrelle Keys, River Bluff kicker Tripp Bryant and linebacker Aaron Griffin and Brookland-Cayce defensive back Jvonn Edwards.

An hour later, the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas will kick off at 1 p.m. River Bluff tight end Stephen Collier is the lone area representative on this year’s South Carolina Sandlappers’ team.

The game will be streamed live at the website www.shrinebowlofthecarolinas.com.

On Friday, White Knoll quarterback Landon Sharpe was added to the South team for the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium. He replaced Summerville quarterback Jaden Cummings, who was injured in last Friday’s Class 5A Division I title game loss to Dutch Fork.

Sharpe will join teammate and offensive lineman Donovan Sims on the roster. Others playing for the South team include Gilbert tight end Connor Gooding, Lexington linebacker Matthew McAulay and defensive lineman Artem Kalinkin.
