B-L and Lexington and Saluda girls ranked in preseason hoops poll

The Lake Murray area will be well represented in the S.C. Basketball Coaches Association’s preseason rankings, with girls teams from Lexington, Batesburg-Leesville and Saluda all earning spots in their respective classifications.

Lexington opens the year ranked seventh in Class 5A Division I. The Lady Wildcats join a deep field led by Blythewood, Dorman and Clover at the top of the poll.

In Class 2A, Saluda enters the season at No. 10, while Batesburg-Leesville appears in the boys poll at No. 9. The Class 2A girls rankings are topped by Andrew Jackson, Clinton and Lake Marion.
