CATS Culinary Students Showcase ‘Taste of South Carolina’ at State Event

Several Culinary Arts students from the Center for Advanced Technical Studies participated in the first-ever Culinary Showcase held during the South Carolina African American History Calendar Unveiling ceremony on Dec. 2 at the Richland Two Performing Arts Center.

Students Mary Anderson, Shaela Holland, Kairi Mayers, Harmony Soloman and Coryn Speight prepared and presented a “Taste of South Carolina” menu for attendees during the public reception.

Among the featured items was a sweet potato bread pudding bite topped with a rum caramel drizzle, highlighting both regional flavors and the students’ culinary skills.
