Lexington-Richland School District Five has named Maddison Paul the new Chief Financial Officer. Paul was approved for the new post during a school board meeting on July 11.
“I am excited for the opportunity to lead the award-winning finance team at School District Five and look forward to continuing the standard of excellence put in
place by Dr. Ross and the Board of Trustees,” Paul said. “I look forward to building relationships throughout the district and furthering the mission to love and grow our students!”
Paul has served as the Budget Officer for the City of Rock Hill since 2020. Paul also served as a senior financial analyst for the City of Rock Hill from 2018-2020. Prior to serving the City of Rock Hill, she worked at Cherry Bekaert Accounting Firm from 2014-2018.
Paul earned her bachelor of science in business administration in accounting at the University of South Carolina (UofSC). She earned her master of business administration from Winthrop University in 2015.
“Ms. Paul is an experienced CPA who is also a Certified Government Finance Officer. Her level of knowledge and professionalism in the field of government finance will be a huge asset to our school district,” said Superintendent Dr. Akil E. Ross, Sr. “Ms. Paul is no stranger to our community. She served as a Teacher Intern in Ms. Campbell’s second-grade class at Oak Pointe Elementary as part of her Spanish minor at UofSC. I am pleased to welcome her to the School District Five family!”
