IRMO – Lexington-Richland School District Five is once again offering Golden Passes to senior residents, providing free admission to most district-sponsored athletic and fine arts events during the 2026-27 school year.
The permanent photo identification cards are available to residents who will be 60 years of age or older during the upcoming school year and live within the School District Five attendance zone. Golden Passes provide lifetime admission to most District Five athletic and cultural arts events, excluding playoff contests.
“The Golden Pass program brings community members of all ages together and provides an opportunity to say thank you to our senior community for volunteering and supporting our schools,” Superintendent Dr. Akil E. Ross Sr. said. “When the stands are filled, our students feel supported by the community and recognized for their efforts.”
Golden Passes will be issued at the District Five Administration Building, 1020 Dutch Fork Road in Irmo, on the following dates:
- Monday, July 28: 1–4 p.m.
- Tuesday, July 29: 9 a.m.–noon
Because the passes are valid for a lifetime, recipients do not need to renew them.
