River Bluff High School is gearing up for a festive celebration on December 12th and 13th, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, as it hosts the 11th annual Ella’s Stuff A Stocking. This beloved tradition, which aims to bring holiday happiness to children in need, has become a cornerstone event at the school.
Established in memory of Ella Shumate, who tragically lost her life in a drunk driving accident in 2011, Ella’s Stuff A Stocking is a school-wide initiative led by Devin Shumate, Ella’s father and a dedicated Social Studies teacher at River Bluff High School.
The community is warmly invited to participate in the December 12th or 13th festivities. More than 130 classes, clubs, and individuals will converge at River Bluff High School to contribute to the cause and provide Christmas joy for hundreds of families. Donated and wrapped gifts can be dropped off at River Bluff High School on December 12th and 13th from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm.
Over the past 11 years, Ella’s Stuff A Stocking has profoundly impacted the magic of the holiday season for numerous children who might otherwise go without. The program reflects the compassion, unity, and generosity that defines the River Bluff High School community.
The heartwarming culmination of this initiative will take place on December 12th and 13th as the donated gifts are loaded onto a truck for distribution to deserving children. Beyond spreading Christmas cheer, the event underscores the remarkable dedication of the River Bluff High School community to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
