The Lake Murray Polar Plunge took place on Saturday, February 13 at Top Spin in Lexington.
Due to the pandemic the event was moved from the shores of Lake Murray to a much more controlled environment where folks ‘freezin’ for a reason’ could be spaced apart every 15 minutes.
The event raises money for the South Carolina Special Olympics and this year Saturday’s returns were more than $36,000. Those funds will provide competitive opportunities and sports training for the estimated 30,000+ special olympics athletes in South Carolina.
