The Lexington girls golf team claimed the Class 5A Division I Upper State championship Tuesday. The Lady Wildcats, who were the host team at Wildwood Country Club, shot a team score of 328 to beat out Dorman by five strokes and River Bluff by 10. Blythewood placed fourth with a score of 353, but golfer Caroline Hawkins was a medalist. The top 8 teams now head to Columbia Country Club for the two-day state tournament starting Monday.
