Mike Schwarz landed an impressive 7.6-pound catch at the boat ramp on the Irmo side of Lake Murray on Saturday, June 1. Using live herring purchased that morning from Lake World, Schwarz’s big catch was celebrated with a photo thanks to Ethan McDaniel, owner of Lake World. Lake World, located at the dam on the Lexington side since 1984, is a go-to sporting goods store offering local bait and tackle for Lake Murray, Saluda River, and Congaree River, with a specialty in live bait.
