The Midlands Striper Club held its annual Ladies Tournament on Lake Murray September 20, enjoying beautiful weather and strong competition from 12 female anglers.

A total of 15 striped bass were brought to the scales, weighing 59.89 pounds overall with a 3.99-pound average. Several participants brought in a full two-fish creel.
Top finishers included:
- 1st Place: Aisha Richardson, Team Laidback – 11.94 lbs
- 2nd Place: Jennifer Lindler, Team Hardcore – 9.51 lbs
- 3rd Place: Laura Lee Richardson, Team Laidback – 9.42 lbs
- 4th Place: Dianna Richardson, Team Laidback – 9.05 lbs
- 5th Place: Deborah Wolfe, Team River Rats – 8.01 lbs
Wolfe also took home Big Fish honors with a 6.26-pound striper.
The Midlands Striper Club is a family-oriented fishing organization dedicated to preserving fisheries for future generations. The club’s next monthly meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on October 14, 2025, at the Flight Deck in Lexington. The next tournament is set for October 18 at Acapulco.
