Ms. Jean Named South Carolina Hospitality Employee of the Year

Columbia, S.C. – Thelma Seibles, fondly known as “Ms. Jean,” was honored with the South Carolina Association of Tourism Regions (SCATR) Hospitality Employee of the Year Award. The prestigious award was presented by Governor McMaster on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Governor’s Mansion in Columbia, S.C., in recognition of her dedication and exceptional guest service spanning over two decades.

Ms. Jean, a beloved figure in the hospitality industry, has been an outstanding employee at the Doubletree by Hilton Columbia, SC. Her commitment to providing exceptional service has made her a semi-finalist for the SCATR award, following her earlier accolade as the Hospitality Employee of the Year (HEY) for the Capital City/Lake Murray Country Region (CCLMC).

“Ms. Jean’s unwavering dedication to ensuring a memorable experience for visitors has distinguished her as a true ambassador for the state of South Carolina,” said Miriam Atria, President/CEO for CCLMC. “Her over twenty years of service are a testament to her excellence and passion for the hospitality industry.”
