IRMO — Ballentine Fire Station 20 recently received a $875 donation from New Hope Church to support the station’s community service projects.
The funds were raised during New Hope Church’s Fall Festival, held Nov. 1, through craft vendor booth rentals, a bake sale and additional donations. More than 200 people attended the festival, which offered a wide range of family-friendly activities and community resources.
Festival highlights included visits from Richland County Sheriff’s deputies and local firefighters with their fire trucks, blood pressure screenings provided by Prisma Health, games and prizes, hayrides, craft vendors, and a variety of food options such as hotdogs, barbecue and pizza. Children also enjoyed the popular bouncy house. Volunteers from local nonprofit organizations, including Birthright of Columbia and Lighthouse for Life, were also on hand to share information about their missions.
New Hope Church is located at 1725 Old Tamah Road in Irmo and is a member of the North American Lutheran Church in America.
